Funding

The Community Legal Service will pay for Legal Help in Immigration matters if:  

bulletyou pass the means test.
bulletthe benefit to you justifies the cost of the work. 
bulletif you have no other means of paying for the work.

In the event of your application has been refused and you require representation before the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal it may be possible to apply for Controlled Legal Representation on your behalf. We will assess again the merits of your case and your finances. If the assessment is favourable we will make the application on your behalf. Should your case proceed to the Higher Courts we will conduct further assessments as to your eligibility for funding under Legal Aid. If after assessing your financial eligibility we find you are not entitled to public funds, we will discuss with you the possibility of fixed fees for the various stages of work involved.
